Difference Between Love and Marriage Explained In A Short Story
“What is love?” a student asks a teacher.
The teacher said, “in order to answer your question, go to the wheat field and choose the biggest wheat and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.” The student went to the field, went through the first row, he saw one big wheat, but he wonders… may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one… But may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him. Later, when he finished more than half of the wheat field, he start to realize that the wheat is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand. The teacher told him, “this is love… You keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person…”
“What is marriage then?” the student asked.
The teacher said, “in order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.” The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfy, and come back to the teacher. The teacher told him, “This time you bring back a corn. You look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get… This is marriage.”
A Dream or A Nightmare?July 10, 2014 I was with my sisters and brothers in Singles for Christ. We had fun together. Playing in the rain. And then the next setting was in the hospital. I was with him. When we were about to go out, his phone rang. So he went inside the hospital again. He was cramming and tensed searching the room where the caller was. I was following him. Confused! When he found the room, he suddenly cried a lot. I saw a girl hugged by a boy. I heard he called her "Hannah" I didn't understand what he was saying but it was as if blaming the girl for not telling him her condition. By merely studying her, maybe she was sick and terminally ill. It was my first time saw him crying the way he did. Maybe the girl was so special to him. Very special! And then we went out. On our way back, I asked him who the girl was and why she called him. But instead of explaining, he was angry with me. I felt hurt and then cried! So i went back to the hospital. I expected him to follow me and asked for forgiveness, but he didn't. While I was crying, I noticed it was a strange place I took. But I didn't care and sat on the corner and cried over and over. Then my eyes got heavy and i felt sleepy. So I slept. The next thing I know that someone woke me up and got me out from that place. I found out I was unconscious for 1 month. I was shocked! But as I listened to myself, I feel relieved and free. It was somewhat I got a new life. But in my mind, I still wanted to know what happened to him after leaving me behind. And then, I woke up... -ROSE-
FOURTH DAY - ADOBE INDESIGN (August 25, 2013)
Adobe InDesign is a newer version of Adobe PageMaker, a desktop publishing program. What does that mean?? Well, it means that both are tools to be used for design and layout purposes. InDesign is the perfect choice for making any document that needs some creative layout, from posters to newspapers. It offers all kinds of features to modify your text and images, which can work together in interesting ways to create a unique and professional design.
In our 4th Sunday of our class, I learned about the use of Adobe In-design which we made an online newsletter. This is what I am excited of that's why I enrolled in this course. At first, I was confused on how to do it or how I make use of it. But later on, I understand the process. It's somewhat like the Photoshop. I've been using Photoshop for layouting birthdays, etc. There are things that the two have the same features. Adobe In-design have many features than the Microsoft Publisher. It is nice to use it in making newsletter, yearbook, etc. Knowing this application, it gave me an idea to make an online story book because it's like a book by just flipping the page and making different cards with beautiful design on it. It give me the chance to create an online story book about my life. I wonder if anyone likes to read it or just have to scan it..Hahaha... Oh, but I just have to download it to create an online story books. I’m just very excited to use and create different designs.
I had realized that through this application, my online newsletter will be seen not just locally but internationally. They can be aware what’s happening in our society and they can also critique. It can make me famous if I will do my very best to do it. It can attract to all the readers to read my newsletter, and stories. Perhaps, there will be some people that will request me to do some work in line with this application. For that, it can be my part time job and receive income through this. Not that bad. If God bless me to have my own business, well, I can use this InDesign to market my business by creating pictures and designs so it will be possible that I can have a foreigner costumer. Quite possible!
As what I’ve said, it will be very helpful to my life and for the others. It is a great thing for me to learn this application since I am very fond of computers that's why my eyes getting teary because of constant exposure to it. I realize that since we should utilize the computer, why not use it to improve my teaching. But sad to say, I was assigned in far plunged area where signal is hard to reach. Even my pupils can hardly eat three times a day. How can this technology help them? This advancement of technology is just good for those who can afford, and for those who have the access.
THIRD SUNDAY - GMAIL, TWITTER, AND POWERPOINT (August 11, 2013)
In our third Sunday of our class, we made an account in Gmail and twitter. We had fun in adding friends and sending messages to each other. We exchanged emails so that it will be very easy for us to send mails. We are given opportunities to meet new people and friends in our own and also in the other diverse communities across the world. By doing so, we can become friends or fans of the profile, and will be updated on current events, specials, and other essential information that the masses would like to share. Since we have done with our MS Word Exercises, we sent it to our instructor that day using the Gmail instead of printing. Just a bit of seconds, all our activities has been sent.
We had also experience the MS PowerPoint though I have already knowledge on it and created numbers of slides for reporting and projects. Microsoft PowerPoint is such a great tool used for so many things. You can create a slide for a report of presentation that will be easily to discuss and have very nice colourful effects and transitions that can motivate and caught attention to your viewer. You can put videos and music on it. Just about anything! It is very fun, creative, and useful.
As we all know, online testing can bring a lot of benefits to assessment: time-saving, flexible and economical. One application I learned was the use of Wondershare QuizCreator which you can create an online test to measure the knowledge of the takers. For making an interactive Flash test, it can be one of the most suitable ways. Especially to my job, it is really useful to me in testing my pupils. Aside from its big time-saving, it can minimize the cheating between them because they have to focus to their questions. Another very good thing about it, you can also randomized the questions and the option to every takers so there’s no need for them to ask questions to their seatmates. Besides, there will be allotted time to each questions. You can put as many questions as you want up to 9 question styles. After they answered the questions, they are going to submit it and they will know their result just a bit of second after clicking the submit so less burden to the teachers or the testers to check the test. I am so glad our instructor taught me about this. Very helpful and motivating!
